Job Description: 

The Green Bay Water Utility is seeking a well-rounded Business Manager to ensure the overall business performance of the utility by optimizing its financial viability, level of service for customers, and business growth. The Business Manager manages department activities and staff for the following functions: Finance and Accounting (including billing operations), Customer Service (including metering), and Corporate Communications. Develops and manages measurement strategies for demonstrating performance in the various functional areas.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled communicator, possess comprehensive knowledge and ability to apply effective municipal and utility financial practices and Government Accounting Standards, and possess a demonstrated ability in planning and directing the work of multiple departments.

Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Managerial Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred. • Seven to ten year’s progressively responsible experience in accounting and business management; three years in a departmental/management capacity. • Customer care experience and business case analysis required; Utility experience preferred.
