CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, a special district created over 30 years ago by Palm Beach County voters, provides leadership, funding, services and research on behalf of the county’s children so they are born healthy, safe from abuse and neglect, ready to learn when they enter school, and have access to quality afterschool and summer programming.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Children’s Services Council’s executive team and advises the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on fiscal affairs. The CFO is expected to take an increasingly prominent role as a strategic partner to assist leaders with planning, risk assessment, and the development of policies and long-term business strategies. The CFO works independently, but under the direction of the CEO, to plan and implement the Council’s financial operations and maintain its financial integrity. The CFO oversees the Finance Division, consisting of the Accounting, Audit and Compliance, and Budget Oversight departments.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible fiscal responsibility, three (3) of which were in a leadership capacity in an organization of similar or greater size, or related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements listed.
